The summary of the anthology states: "En quoi le fait d’être une femme peut-il affecter la création en poésie ? Qu’est-ce qui fait l’originalité des écrits poétiques féminins ? Partant des travaux de la critique littéraire féministe et/ou « féminine », tout en proposant une pluralité de voies critiques, ce volume s’attache à la situation complexe des poètes femmes (Emily Brontë, Emily Dickinson, Joyce Mansour, Sylvia Plath et d’autres) dans la tradition littéraire masculine. Une anthologie de textes poétiques, donnant à entendre les voix de poètes femmes contemporaines, le complète et l’enrichit."
