CONVERSION
Estepa Editions, 2013
"CONVERSION" (which can be ordered directly from the press at https://kateplusbooks.wordpress.com/2011/02/19/books/) is a set of 7 folio
pages in an edition of 50, text printed in a deep blue ink with
watercolor and ink images by Kate Van Houten traversing the wide foldout pages and texts. This is "bound" in a bordeaux colored handmade box in
which the folio pages on an antique Italian paper and their cover page slip in and out delicately. The prose poems were written in Greece and reflect in many ways on the islands but also on the sculptural art of Van Houten.
